Authenticity

A while back I started a push for authenticity. I wouldn't back this up anymore though. It is incredibly important to remember that authenticity is an ideal and you will never be authentic. Along with the serious problems that accompany idealism, authenticity is not an advisable way of living.
Moving towards authenticity is productive but do not be authentic. It is a terrible way of living. Humans take advantage of each others vulnerabilities too frequently for it to ever have a future of productivity or morality.
Cynicism is a more accurate, safe, and productive life path than authenticity. Cynicism, not being an ideal, will also bring one closer to enlightenment and reality.
