Playing God

I've defined philosophy as the study of truth over time. In order to gain insights and accuracy regarding what is truthful over time one must, in a sense, play God.
Understanding the fundamental nature of our reality means one is questioning the fundamental nature of our reality. Whether or not the insights we gain through this questioning are theological is irrelevant. The act of questioning is an act of rebuilding our reality from the ground up. An act of playing God.
A philosopher views reality as a sandbox, ready to be played with, repeatedly being built up and tore down to reflect their individual, unique perceptions.
