The Comeback of Cynicism

In a world where idealism and optimism reigns supreme, cynicism becomes a knight in shoddy armor.

Idealism is a plague and has taken over society. People are obsessed with looking for the best and most optimal way of doing things. If we aren't acting in the most ideal of ways, binary thinking takes over and something becomes either good or bad, rather than a spectrum of many factors.

Neither consequence nor cancel culture has to occur and it is possible to let things happen as they naturally would.

Idealism is a drug, more addictive than heroine.

Like all drugs, this is not a sustainable means of existing. It is temporary motivation and understanding just to get by.

We build our political leaders up on artificial pedestals, just to keep them their with artificial supports. We treat them as if they can do no wrong. Oompa loompas make mistakes too.

We build our beliefs up on artificial pedestals, just to keep them their with artificial supports. We defend our beliefs because they make us feel good, despite contrary opinions or evidence.

We build our businesses and business leaders up on artificial pedestals, just to keep them their with artificial supports. This doesn't apply to all of them but many businesses and business leaders are successful through manipulation or luck, not any kind of true philosophical prowess. Anyone can work hard. Simply working hard is irrelevant to success.

We are approaching a digital age where artificial intelligence can make anything look or seem however we wish it to. We are approaching an age where what is real will become less and less important. We are approaching an age where the idealism of what is, will overpower what is real and truly meaningful.

Cynicism needs to make a comeback. We need people challenging the status quo. Challenging social norms. Challenging what is thought to be good so that what is thought to be good is always challengeable.

I do not mean performing unethical actions.

Cynicism means living in accordance with nature which directly combats an age where what is real is not as important.

My name is Nick Miller and I am a backyard philosopher. I have created what I call a meta theory of everything which logically conceptualizes anything and everything. I plan to apply it to any thing and every thing I possibly can.

Nothing IS. Other than what IS.
